FAQ

This list of frequently asked questions should get your started on understanding more about some of the specifics as well as values of Family of Faith Christian School.

What curriculum do you use?

Bob Jones University Press, a premier Christian curriculum, taught by qualified teachers, is used in a traditional classroom approach. Teachers incorporate projects and hands-on-learning into the classroom as well. Curricula are evaluated to ensure that our Statement of Faith can be aligned.

Are students required to wear uniforms?

At this time students are not required to wear standardized dress.  We ask that parents assist in having their children maintain an appearance which will bring glory to God and His school.

What are your school hours?

We begin classes at 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 3:45 p.m.  Drop-off begins at 7:45 a.m.  We ask that all students be picked up by 4:00 p.m.

Will students attend chapel services?

Yes, we offer chapel services to students of all ages.  One chapel each week is provided for the attendance of the entire school.  Separate elementary and secondary chapels are provided once each week as well.  Bible instruction is given in class at the beginning of the other days of the week.

What sports do you offer?

We participate in the Heartland Christian Athletic Association (HCAA), offering basketball for boys and girls in grades 7-12 and volleyball for girls in grades 7-12.

How is discipline handled?

Students are expected to be responsive to the guiding of God’s presence and the authority that God has placed in their lives.  Instead of merely seeking to modify a student’s behavior to accomplish the academic schedule, focus is given to apply the Word of God to their lives in a spirit of conviction and repentance.  When the heart is changed, behavior follows.  Consequences to behavior is necessary and usually results in time out, detentions, and rarely in-school-suspension and expulsion.  Our major discipline issues are dress code violations and excessive talking.

Do you offer advanced classes?

We offer concurrent courses through Family of Faith University or Oral Roberts University Advantage Program. Students may also receive concurrent credit from other Oklahoma accredited colleges.

What colleges or universities do your graduates attend?

Our students attend colleges and universities all over the United States and throughout several countries.  Locally, students have attended Family of Faith College, the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Baptist University, Saint Gregory’s University, Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma Christian University, Oral Roberts University, Rose State College, Seminole State College, East Central University, and Rhema Bible College.  Our graduates have gone on to be business owners, doctors, missionaries, nurses, teachers, pastors, servicemen and women, homemakers, construction workers, policemen, firemen, veterinarians, bank managers, worship leaders, and other things that God has called them into.
